Ans. Acupuncture and Acupressure are both methods used to stimulate acupoints. In comparison ,Acupuncture uses thin sterilized needles being inserted into acupoints in the body. These acupuncture points are located at different spots in the meridians.where as Acupressure uses a firm pressure to massage the acupoints. Q 2. What is the difference between Reflexology and Acupressure?
Ans. Both Reflexology and Acupressure are categorized as Reflex Therapies. However, each work under very different energetic principles and extremely different reflex point locations. Acupressure deals with over 14 long thin energy lines called meridians that run most of the length of the body. But Reflexology is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy which focuses on relieving stress in our bodies by working specifically with hands and feet. Pressure points found in these areas correspond to organs and tissue that normally cannot be reached by a normal massage. By stimulating a pressure point the corresponding area will experience a beneficial effect through the reflex of the nervous system.
